Hatmill wins Transformational Leader at the Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2026

Founder & CEO Simon Dixon recognised at the Royal Armouries ceremony in Leeds

Hatmill was proud to attend the Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2026 on 12 March at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, where the business was recognised with the Transformational Leader Award.

Organised by TheBusinessDesk.com, the Yorkshire Leadership Awards bring together organisations and leaders from across the region to celebrate impactful, inclusive and purposeful leadership. The event recognised individuals and businesses who are helping shape stronger teams, workplaces and communities across Yorkshire.

Held at the Royal Armouries, the ceremony brought together senior leaders from across the region for an evening dedicated to recognising the very best leadership Yorkshire has to offer.

Judged by Yorkshire’s Business Leaders

Entries were assessed by an independent panel drawn from across Yorkshire’s business community, including senior figures from professional services, industry, academia and regional business organisations. The judging panel brought a wealth of experience in supporting leadership, business growth and skills development across the region.

Their role was to identify leaders and organisations demonstrating clear values, strong team cultures and a commitment to delivering meaningful impact within their businesses and beyond.

Hatmill’s Founder and CEO Simon Dixon was shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Professional Services Leader
  • Company Leader (51–100 employees)
  • Transformational Leader

A team achievement

While the award recognises leadership, it reflects the collective effort of the entire Hatmill team. The business has always placed strong emphasis on collaboration, openness and shared ownership, values that underpin how Hatmill works with clients and with one another.

The evening also provided an opportunity for the team to come together and celebrate the progress the business has made.

Speaking after the ceremony, Simon Dixon said:

“It was fantastic to be there with colleagues and celebrate alongside so many great businesses from across Yorkshire. This award is a brilliant reflection of the work the whole team puts in every day. Hatmill’s success has never been about one individual. It’s built on the contribution, commitment and collaboration of everyone across the business. It was also a great opportunity for the team to get together and recognise what we’ve achieved collectively.”

Celebrating leadership across the region

Sheryl Moore, Yorkshire Editor of TheBusinessDesk.com, said:

“Leadership continues to evolve in response to global challenges and economic uncertainty, so it was a privilege to bring together and recognise so many outstanding leaders from across the region. Each of our finalists and winners demonstrated the vision, resilience and empathy that are essential to guiding businesses successfully through change.

The shortlist once again reflected the depth of talent and innovation across Yorkshire, and it was fantastic to celebrate leaders from such a broad range of sectors who are making a real impact through their approach to leadership.”

For Hatmill, the evening was not only about recognition but also about celebrating the people behind the business and the shared approach that continues to drive its progress.
