FAQs
What should you know?
What does a supply chain consultant do?
Supply chain consultants advise businesses that utilise transport and logistics services within their operations. Helping them with all kinds of services from production planning to demand estimation, procurement, inventory management, and warehouse design, supply chain consultants streamline the supply chain, helping to reduce costs, improve efficiency and support business growth.
What are the benefits of outsourcing supply chain consulting services?
Employing an outside team to optimise and consult on your supply chain operations will provide a fresh perspective. Our team of over 60 supply chain consultants has the experience to help you solve supply chain problems – we will have seen similar challenges before. Companies that seek external supply chain advice also gain access to vast expertise, which can increase efficiency, speed up turnaround times, and ultimately generate more profit.

Our experts will analyse your operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement tailored solutions to enhance performance, reduce costs, and foster better collaboration across your business.
Case studies
Our work
The UK’s Covid vaccination programme was an incredible success. What most people didn’t see is what went on behind the scenes to build a first-of-its-kind national supply and distribution network from scratch in just a matter of weeks. The new supply chain needed to span 7 regions, 29 integrated care systems, 223 NHS trusts and 1500 primary care networks.
Led by the NHSE team, and working with the DHSC, NHS logistics, Movianto, the military and a range of other suppliers, Hatmill was central to the success of the vaccination programme. We provided strategic advice about the design, demand planning and delivery of this national priority, which was to be the key that unlocked the pandemic’s grip on the nation.
This brand-new supply chain was designed in an extraordinarily short time and deployed in just five weeks. We’re proud Hatmill was on the team central to delivering this phenomenal achievement.
