On time, or not, that is the question
In many ways, logistics is like a theatre show, particularly when we think about operational and transport planning. Paddy MacBrant explains why.
I joined Hatmill in 2018, having operated as an independent consultant since 2007. Before moving into consultancy, I worked with the major logistics automation suppliers where I headed up their solution design teams, and this provides me with valuable insight into how integrators operate and what they need to optimise their engagement. I specialise in operational reviews, automation system design and development, procurement, and vendor management.

My clients include Nike, Amazon, British American Tobacco, Urban Outfitters, Diageo, TNT, Parcelforce, and Yodel plus numerous smaller businesses, and I’ve been heavily involved in the design and implementation of new solutions including fully automated National Distribution Centre’s, Parcel Sort Centres, high capacity mini-load stores and Order Fulfilment Centres. I have travelled extensively throughout my career, supporting clients, in Europe, Africa, North and South America, Russia, China and South Korea.
