Elizabeth Hedley-Ryan

I joined the Hatmill team in March 2023, having previously worked for Amazon for over 7 years. During this time I worked across multiple departments, progressing through 8 different roles, at 6 different distribution centres across the UK. I thoroughly enjoy solving problems & improving efficiency for my customers, through utilizing a strong analytical skills, combined with my practical & engaging nature.

I believe process, customer and employee engagement are equally valuable at driving successful outcomes for any business

Prior to joining Hatmill I spent over 7 years with Amazon. During those 7 years I working predominately within Operational Management roles across the Inbound, Outbound, Change and Learning & Development departments. I also specialised as a Super SME for the Problem-Solving department, which involved stakeholder management with teams across multiple continents. As a result I acquired a reputation as someone whiling to tackle any challenge, as well as an enthusiasm to share knowledge with others – a trait I greatly value in myself & others.

Having joined Amazon as a Graduate, I progressed to an Interim Site Lead role at the UKs largest distribution centre. In my most recent role, I was responsible for an organization of 3,600 individuals, with a processing capacity in excess of 2 million units per week. During this time, I developed & delivered multiple projects which were adopted as EU benchmark standards, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to my time with Amazon, I completed a degree in Statistics at the University of Glasgow. Due to this, I strongly value the importance of data in my decision making. I also very much enjoy working in a collaborative environment, with a strong focus on making emotionally intelligent choices for the advantage of our clients – this is what attracted me to work for Hatmill. I’m excited to see what the future will bring, working for a business with a psychologically mature, yet modern outlook on delivering results.
