Hannah Whitley

I joined Hatmill after over 5 years in recruitment across various industries, with the past 2.5 years within Capgemini. Having started my career within agency, I quickly found my passion within the in-house set-up, having worked for a mix of RPO, Start-up, Scale-up and Unicorn companies with an international coverage of the UK, US, EMEA and APAC.

Recruit with vision, hire for passion and let’s build a future together.

I joined Hatmill in 2023, which I felt was a natural progression having worked within a large scale consultancy for the past 2.5 years as a senior specialty recruiter.

Formerly a professional musician, I first gained experience in a high performing financial agency, Morgan McKinley. Highly focused on the metrics, I  gained quickly discovered my passion for helping both the clients and the candidates without the middle-man of agency, and so I quickly made the move to in-house with travel-tech start-up Hi Inc. I quickly gained recognition for my work and was promoted to Talent Partner within the first three months, covering a remit of the UK and EMEA whilst conversing with Hong Kong weekly on the hiring needs.

In Late 2019, I had the opportunity to join the prop-tech scale-up Plentific, as one of two recruitment managers covering the commercial needs of the business. Throughout my role, I oversaw the expansion into Berlin and the US, driving the hire for the CFO to lead the series C funding round throughout COVID. Passionate about equality and diversity within the workplace, I created the ‘Women of Plentific’ initiative, having prominent female leaders share their experiences on a monthly basis and leading to a safer, more fulfilling workplace.

I finally joined Capgemini in early 2021, quickly leading the project of building a business unit from scratch and guiding clients on best practice and strategies, resulting in creating an award-winning team. Recruiting a mix of highly technical and commercial needs, I also shifted my focus on process improvement and led on a project to streamline the hiring and interview process to create better candidate satisfaction and retention rate throughout. This ultimately led to reduced turn-over and higher employee retention.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

By improving their demand forecast, we helped one client save £3m in agency staffing costs (that’s an 18% reduction).
